Whatever you’re passionate about, create content around it. Your passion can be anything, it can be making something out of metal, repairing something, painting, writing, speaking, joking, acting, teaching, or even making ridiculous content like me. It can be anything in the world.
Create content around your craft. Write about it. Make a podcast about it. Interview others in your niche. Record yourself working.
You don’t need expensive equipments in the beginning. In fact, you won’t need expensive equipments even after you start earning ten times what you intend to. Your existing devices are perfectly fine for the job if they function properly.
2. Share
Now that you have the content, you need to pick channels to share it. Choose the platform to grow your audience, your potential clients. Increasing your online presence.
Share your work on social media, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Spotify, etc. Share something that people like yourself might be interested in consuming.
Don’t just share anything, share something that you would want to consume, something people will find valuable, something that will help you increase your audience, something that will help people to improve their craft. Some tips, some tricks, some hacks, some how-tos, and so on.
No one — absolutely no one — is interested in who you are or what you do. Everyone is interested in what you can do for them. People would only be interested in you if you can entertain them, educate them, or do both.
You don’t have to think of gaining, only giving. Provide value to the world without expecting anything in return. Share freely.
3. Monetize
The next thing is to monetize your social presence, your website, your YouTube, your social media. Activate the channels that you’ve been working on. Show them what you can do for them.
Really provide value: offer the very best of you; help others learn thoroughly what you know; produce your products.
